Are you ready for your taste buds to travel to the tropics from the comfort of your kitchen? Then grab your KitchenAid® Maximum Extraction Juicer and a handful of ingredients for this healthy, refreshing twist on traditional carrot juice.

juice-ingredients

Carrots join forces with a few of the juicing world’s freshest flavors, including cantaloupe and pineapple, and the result is the perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors in a single gulp-worthy glass. Add some fresh ginger and a pinch of turmeric to the equation and this juice packs quite the boost.

carrots-in-hopper

The KitchenAid® Maximum Extraction Juicer does double duty by first slicing the ingredients and then processing them to remove every last ounce of juice. And the wide mouth of the hopper means there’s minimum slicing and dicing as you avoid any extra prep work prior to juicing.

juice-and-pulp

While the machine extracts the juice, the pulp is removed and discarded, leaving you with only the liquids. If you prefer a thicker juice, or even a sauce, you can simply switch to any of the three different pulp screens to regulate the amount of pulp.

reserved-pulp

But don’t ditch that pulp! I reserve vegetable pulp and whip it into cream cheese to make a veggie-packed spread or into recipes that call for shredded vegetables, such as carrot cake or zucchini bread.

pineapple-in-hopper

The juicer processes fruits just as easily as it processes vegetables. Once the carrots have been juiced, add the pineapple, cantaloupe and ginger to the hopper. All that’s left to do is stir in a pinch of turmeric for added health benefits, grab a straw and start sipping.
