5-MINUTE FROZEN YOGURT
Frozen yogurt in a food processor? It may sound too good to be true, but with a few simple ingredients and a KitchenAid® Pro Line® Series Food Processor, you’ll have healthy homemade frozen yogurt in endless flavours. And best of all, it only takes 5 minutes to make.

This simple technique for food processor frozen yogurt starts off with your choice of fruit. I’ve opted to make a blueberry-coconut flavour, but you could easily sub in any variety of frozen fruit, from strawberries and peaches to bananas and mangos.
Rather than sweeten the frozen yogurt with excess added sugar, I’m using just a squeeze of agave nectar to balance out the acidity of the fresh lemon juice. Honey is also a great alternative. And to guarantee an extra-creamy texture, I’ve opted for coconut-flavoured Greek yogurt, but you can use whatever flavour is available. There are no hard and fast frozen yogurt rules here, just a delicious (and quick!) dessert.
Start by adding all of the ingredients to the work bowl of your KitchenAid® Pro Line® Series Food Processor. This recipe yields several cups of frozen yogurt, but if you want to make a smaller batch, or even just a single serving, insert the small work bowl into the food processor then attach the blade and continue with the recipe as directed.
All that’s left to do is switch on your food processor and let it run for 5 minutes. The fruit and yogurt quickly transform into creamy frozen yogurt. Adjust the sweetness or tartness of the frozen yogurt after the ingredients have blended together by simply adding an additional squeeze of agave nectar or fresh lemon juice.
The frozen yogurt can be served straight from the food processor, or it can be stored in an airtight container in the freezer for several weeks.
But of course no bowl of frozen yogurt is complete without toppings. I’ve turned to my KitchenAid®12″ Convection Bake Countertop Oven to quickly and evenly toast shredded coconut flakes for added flavour and crunch. Skip this step if you can’t wait another minute to satisfy your sweet tooth, or toast the coconut up to two days in advance and keep it stored in an airtight container at room temperature.
And that’s all there is to it! With just four simple ingredients and your KitchenAid® Pro Line® Series Food Processor, you’ll be snacking on 5-minute frozen yogurt that’s healthy, homemade and definitely worthy of a second serving.
5-MINUTE FROZEN YOGURT
4 cups frozen blueberries
3 tablespoons agave nectar or honey
1/2 cup coconut-flavored yogurt
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
3/4 cup sweetened flaked coconut (optional)
Add the blueberries, honey, yogurt and lemon juice to the work bowl of your KitchenAid® Pro Line® Series Food Processor. Process the ingredients for 5 minutes until smooth. Serve the frozen yogurt immediately topped with toasted coconut (recipe follows), or store it in an airtight container in the freezer until ready to serve.
Optional Topping: Preheat your KitchenAid® 12″ Convection Bake Countertop Oven to 350°F. Line the countertop oven baking tray with parchment paper then spread the flaked coconut in an even layer. Toast the coconut for about 10 minutes, stirring as needed, until it’s golden brown. Serve atop the blueberry frozen yogurt.
